Do you provide embedded engineers who join our team full-time?
No. GDI is a small, senior, AI-leveraged operation, not a staffing firm — we do not supply people to sit inside your team under your direction, and we would rather say that than place someone who cannot deliver what was implied. What we do is take scoped pieces of work and deliver them against an agreed spec. If you genuinely need headcount, a recruiter or a licensed employment agency is the right route and we will point you there.
How is this different from hiring a contractor?
A contractor sells you hours and you carry the risk of how many are needed. We scope the work, quote it fixed after a free scoping call, and absorb the overrun if it takes longer than expected. The trade-off is that the scope has to be defined up front — open-ended 'help us with whatever comes up' work suits a contractor better than it suits us.
What size of work does this suit?
Anything that can be defined and finished: a feature, a module, an integration, a migration, a performance problem. It does not suit continuous capacity — an ongoing seat on your team, shift cover, or a support rota — because that needs people we do not have. We take one engagement of this kind at a time so it never competes with a client's build.
Can you provide BPO or back-office operations staff?
No. That is a people business and GDI is not one. Where the bottleneck is genuinely repetitive process work, the more useful conversation is usually whether it can be automated instead — which is something we do build.
Will our team own the code you write?
Yes, entirely. You own the code, the repository history and the documentation. Everything is delivered through pull requests into your repo under your review, so there is no point at which the work lives somewhere only we can reach.
