Common questions
Which grant should a Singapore SME use for a website or software?
If you are adopting a pre-approved, ready-made solution (website, e-commerce, CRM, POS, accounting), PSG is the usual route at up to 50%. If you are building something custom, EDG covers up to 50% for SMEs. Advanced or AI solutions may qualify for up to 70% under IMDA's Advanced Digital Solutions. All indicative and subject to agency approval.
What are the common eligibility requirements?
Almost all of these schemes require a business registered and operating in Singapore. Most also require at least 30% local (Singaporean or PR) shareholding, and use the SME definition of group annual sales under S$100M or fewer than 200 employees. EDG additionally assesses financial viability.
Can grants be stacked?
Different schemes fund different things, and SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit can offset out-of-pocket costs on supported programmes alongside other support. Stacking rules vary by scheme and are decided by the administering agency — confirm before you commit.
Do I apply before or after starting the project?
Before. Schemes like PSG do not support retrospective applications — you generally must not have paid a deposit or started the purchase before applying. Plan the application into your project timeline.
